Taco Bell Foundation Awards $244K in Grants to Tulsa Nonprofits
The Taco Bell Foundation has allocated over $244,000 in grant funding to various nonprofit organizations within the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. These grants are specifically aimed at supporting programs designed to help young people develop essential skills, build confidence, and foster brighter futures. This local initiative is part of a larger, record-breaking effort by the foundation, which is distributing $32 million in Community Grants to more than 700 nonprofit organizations nationwide. This represents a 40% increase in nonprofit partners compared to the previous year. K-MAC Enterprises, a Taco Bell franchisee, played a significant role by contributing over $1.4 million in Community Grant funding across the 10 states it serves, with more than $470,640 directed to seven Oklahoma nonprofit organizations. The funding is primarily generated through customer contributions, specifically through the 'Round Up' program where patrons can round up their order totals.
