In Queens, New York, a 69-year-old woman was swindled out of $5,000 worth of jewelry by two men who claimed they had a winning lottery ticket but could not claim the prize due to their immigration status. The incident occurred when the men approached the woman in a gray BMW, convincing her to trade her jewelry for the purported winning ticket.
