The incident occurred when a 26-year-old driver lost control of her Hyundai Elantra, crossing the centerline and striking the bus stop. The vehicle continued through the stop before halting in a nearby lane. All injured pedestrians were transported to local hospitals, with none of the injuries considered life-threatening.
