Warrant Issued for Omaha Musician Daniel Butler Following No-Show Performances
An arrest warrant has been issued for Omaha-area musician Daniel Butler after he allegedly failed to appear at multiple paid performances, sending last-minute cancellation texts. One such incident involved a mother of the bride, Robin Heller, who had paid Butler to perform at her daughter's wedding. Heller reported that Butler sent a text minutes before the event, claiming his band had been in an accident and had to cancel. However, Heller later discovered that Butler had sent the same cancellation text to three different clients booked for the same date, August 29th, indicating a pattern of fraudulent behavior. Another event organizer in Kearney, Shannon Bombeck, also reported being stood up by Butler after paying him $1,000. A former band member stated that the band had disbanded months prior to these incidents, and Butler had been booking events independently. Butler has since responded via text, expressing shame and regret, and claiming he is working long hours to repay the affected organizers.
