Two Rochester Women Seriously Injured in Wayland Car Crash
Two women from Rochester, New York, sustained serious injuries following a car crash in Wayland on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred on West Naples Street, also known as State Route 63, shortly before 2:45 p.m. New York State Police reported that a 2020 Honda, traveling eastbound, failed to navigate a curve. The vehicle then crossed the westbound lane, left the road, and collided with multiple trees before striking a residence. The driver, 23-year-old Liz Maldonado, was transported to Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville with serious injuries. Her passenger, 23-year-old Evelyne Maldonado, was taken directly to Strong Memorial Hospital, also with serious injuries. Authorities noted that the driver was not wearing a seat belt, while the passenger was restrained. No other individuals were reported injured in the incident.
