WFM Purchasing LP Recalls Cabricharme Cheese Due to Undeclared Egg Allergen
WFM Purchasing LP has initiated a voluntary Class I recall of Fromagerie Coop de Mean Cabricharme and Belgium Cabricharme cheese products sold at Whole Foods Market. The recall, assigned number H-1395-2026 by the FDA, is due to the presence of undeclared egg, a major allergen, not listed on the product packaging or labels. The affected products are plastic-wrapped cheese slices cut from whole wheels, identifiable by Whole Foods Market scale label product look-up codes (PLUs) 54670 and 57953. The recall encompasses all products with shelf dates through and including October 7, 2026. A total of 21 wheels of cheese were distributed across seven states: California, Arizona, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. The FDA classified this as a Class I recall, indicating that exposure to the product may cause serious adverse health consequences or even death.
