Bear Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 36 Near Boulder
A bear was struck and killed in a six-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 east of Boulder, Colorado, early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. near the eastbound 40.6 mile marker. Following the initial collision with the bear, five additional vehicles were involved in crashes in the vicinity. Fortunately, no human injuries were reported, and the road remained open, although tow trucks were required to clear the scene. Colorado Parks & Wildlife removed the bear's carcass, which was in poor condition and could not be donated for food. This marks the second bear-related crash in Boulder within a month.
