Driver Ejected in Four-Vehicle Crash on Garden State Parkway, Causing Major Delays
A four-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Clark resulted in a driver being ejected and sustaining serious injuries, causing significant traffic delays. The incident occurred around 6:05 a.m. on the southbound side of the Parkway near milepost 136.8 in Union Township. According to troopers, Robert M. Nisbett, 35, of Newark, was driving a Mercedes-Benz southbound when he lost control, struck the left guardrail, and crossed into the northbound lanes. His vehicle then collided with a Nissan and a Kia SUV. The Kia was subsequently redirected into a Honda SUV. Nisbett was ejected from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the Kia, along with the driver and two passengers in the Nissan, sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. The driver of the Honda also reported minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
