Governor Hochul Announces Completion of $39 Million Affordable Housing Development in Rochester
Governor Kathy Hochul has announced the completion of True North Apartments, a $39 million affordable and supportive housing development located in Rochester’s Northeast neighborhood. This project, developed through a collaboration with DePaul, Rochester’s faith-based community, and local leaders, has transformed previously vacant sites into 70 affordable and supportive apartments. In addition to the housing units, the development includes a wellness clinic that will serve both residents and the wider community. This initiative is part of Governor Hochul’s broader $25 billion five-year Housing Plan, which aims to create or preserve 100,000 affordable homes statewide. New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) has already contributed to creating or preserving over 6,500 affordable homes in Monroe County under Governor Hochul's leadership.
