Schutt's Apple Mill Supports Bauman's Farm Market After Devastating Fire
A fire on July 22 destroyed the market building at Bauman’s Farm Market in Penfield, New York, a family-owned business with deep roots in the community. The fire, which began in the early hours, also damaged several greenhouses and the family home. Fortunately, no one was injured. In response to the disaster, Schutt's Apple Mill, another long-standing family business located about a mile away, quickly set up a tent at the Bauman’s site to help them continue operations. The Bauman family expressed gratitude for the community's support, highlighting the importance of local solidarity in times of crisis. Bauman’s Farm Market, established in 1908, has been a staple in the area, known for its greenhouses and seasonal attractions.
