Two Injured, One Critically, in Two-Vehicle Crash Southwest of Andale
Two individuals sustained injuries, with one in critical condition, following a two-vehicle collision southwest of Andale, near 279th West and 53rd North. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, with Sedgwick County dispatchers receiving the call around 2 p.m. According to Lt. Steve Olsen of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found two vehicles that had collided at the intersection. One vehicle, a Trailblazer driven by a 25-year-old woman, rolled over into a nearby yard, leaving her with very critical injuries. The other driver, a 20-year-old man in a pickup, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities believe a missed stop sign was the cause, with no indications of drugs or alcohol involved.
