Rochester Woman Arrested on Felony Weapon Charge After Wrong Turn onto Lewiston-Queenston Bridge
A Rochester woman was arrested on August 18 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers after making a wrong turn onto the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. The 52-year-old woman was found to be unlawfully possessing a Taurus 9mm handgun without the required New York State pistol permit. Following the discovery, officers seized the firearm and escorted the woman, her vehicle, and its occupants to a secondary inspection area for further examination. The woman was subsequently taken into custody, processed, and handed over to the New York State Police. She now faces felony charges for criminal possession of a weapon. The federal agency did not release the woman's name.
