Sam Schulz's Legacy as a Super Fan and Inspirational Figure at Memorial High School
Sam Schulz, a 22-year-old alumnus of Memorial High School in Evansville, passed away on August 12 after a lifelong battle with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, a genetic disorder that made his skin extremely fragile. Despite his condition, Schulz was a dedicated supporter of Memorial High School's sports teams, often seen at games regardless of the weather. His passion for sports extended beyond high school, as he formed connections with prominent figures in college basketball, including Hall of Fame Coach Tom Izzo. Schulz's health had declined significantly in recent months, but his spirit and dedication left a lasting impact on the Memorial community.
