Hopscotch Primary Care has secured $53 million in Series D funding, led by 8VC and Townhall Ventures, with additional participation from investors including Citi Impact Fund and Alumni Ventures. This capital infusion will enable the company to expand its operations beyond its current base in Western North Carolina, targeting new markets in Tennessee and Georgia. Hopscotch Primary Care, founded in 2021, operates a dozen clinics that offer extended primary care appointments, ranging from 20 to 40 minutes. The company utilizes ambient scribes to generate visit summaries and patient instructions, and employs AI-driven clinical decision support tools to assist clinicians in managing complex patients. Telehealth services are also integrated into their model, with some encounters handled in-house and others outsourced to partner providers for virtual specialty care.
