South Texas Blood Tissue Launches Concert Ticket Giveaway to Address Blood Shortage
South Texas Blood & Tissue is addressing a summer blood shortage by offering donors a chance to win concert tickets. Donors who give blood at any of the organization's centers through August 9 can enter to win tickets to see Guns N’ Roses on September 16 or Iron Maiden on September 29. The initiative aims to boost donations, particularly of type O blood, which is in urgent demand. Donors are encouraged to use promo codes 'ROSES' or 'IRON' when scheduling their donations, and they will also receive a Rock N Roll T-shirt. The organization notes that blood donations typically decline during the summer due to travel and extreme weather, yet they remain crucial for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and childbirth.
