Three Individuals Charged in Tennessee After Cats Shot with Blow Darts
Three people have been charged in Tennessee following incidents where stray cats were shot with blow darts near a gas station. Darlene Hooper was arrested and faces three counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, which are Class E felonies, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two juveniles have also been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals in Houston County Juvenile Court. The attacks, which occurred in Erin, resulted in the deaths of several animals, while one cat named Xena survived with a dart lodged through her torso, narrowly missing her spine and aorta.
