Christian County Sheriff's Office and AT Investigate Telecommunications Thefts, Offer Reward
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), in collaboration with AT&T, is investigating multiple thefts of telephone wiring and telecommunications equipment in Christian County, Kentucky. Deputies have responded to several reports of stolen telephone wiring and equipment from cell-tower sites. These incidents have prompted AT&T to establish a tip line, offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for damaging, destroying, or stealing critical infrastructure equipment. The CCSO is urging the public to report any suspicious activity near telecommunications equipment, advising against direct confrontation but encouraging individuals to note details such as location, vehicle descriptions, license plates, and direction of travel before contacting law enforcement or the AT&T tip line.
