Woman Killed, Another Injured in South Nashville Apartment Complex Shooting
A deadly shooting occurred Sunday night in the Napier neighborhood of South Nashville, resulting in the death of one woman and injury to another. Metro police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of University Court around 8 p.m. following reports of a large fight involving several women. Upon arrival, officers discovered two women with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital. Shalethia Horton, 35, of Nashville, succumbed to her injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The other victim, a 32-year-old woman, is expected to recover. Police are actively investigating the incident.
