TSA Launches New Gateside PreCheck Program at Harry Reid International Airport for Non-Flyers
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced a new pilot program called Gateside by TSA PreCheck, allowing non-travelers to access secured areas at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and 12 other participating airports. This initiative enables TSA PreCheck members to apply for a Gateside pass using their known traveler number, granting them entry to gates for various reasons, such as greeting or sending off loved ones, or meeting individuals on layovers. Since the September 11 terror attacks, access to secured airport areas has been highly restricted, with gate passes typically issued only under specific circumstances like accompanying minors, individuals with disabilities, or military personnel.
