Precure Selects Helix as Multiomics Lab and AI Tools Provider to Integrate Molecular Insights into Clinical Care
Precure, a new initiative launched by the Mayo Clinic and founding partner Thermo Fisher Scientific, has selected Helix as its multiomics laboratory and AI tools provider. This collaboration aims to generate molecular data from approximately one million biospecimens to accelerate the integration of molecular insights into routine clinical care at the Mayo Clinic and other health systems. Helix will provide advanced AI tools for delivering genomics into the clinic and biomarker-driven research, alongside population-scale multiomic capabilities, including clinical whole genome sequencing (WGS) and research-grade proteome sequencing. The objective is to create new opportunities for disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment by linking this molecular data with longitudinal clinical information and high-performance computing infrastructure. This initiative builds upon the Mayo Clinic's Tapestry study, which utilized Helix's Exome+ sequencing technology with 100,000 participants.
