Ben Crump and Families Seek Answers in Deaths of Three Teenagers
Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump, along with the families of Nolan Wells, Daniel Erving, and Tyler Smith, is seeking answers regarding the deaths of the three teenagers. The cases were discussed at the National Urban League's annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Each of the young men, all 18 years old, died under circumstances that their families dispute or find unresolved. Nolan Wells was found dead after a trip to Horn Island, Mississippi, with the cause of death still undetermined. Daniel Erving's death was ruled an accidental drowning in Texas, but his family questions the circumstances. Tyler Smith died from a gunshot wound in Kentucky, reported as accidental, but his family disputes this account.
