SUV Collides with Golf Cart in Walton County, Injuring Five Occupants
On September 5, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a collision occurred in Walton County, Florida, involving an SUV and a golf cart. The incident took place at the intersection of County Road 30A and Heron’s Watch Way. According to an FHP press release, an SUV, driven by a 32-year-old man from Austin, Texas, with a 32-year-old female passenger, was traveling south on Heron's Watch Way. The golf cart, operated by a 67-year-old Tampa man, was traveling east on CR 30A. The SUV attempted to make a right turn onto CR 30A, resulting in its front left side striking the side of the golf cart. Five occupants of the golf cart sustained injuries, with a 53-year-old Tampa woman suffering critical injuries, and the other four, including a 63-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman from Overland Park, Kansas, and a 66-year-old woman from Jenks, Oklahoma, sustaining serious injuries. The two occupants of the SUV were not injured.
