Flash Flood Warning Issued for Coos County Amid Severe Weather Conditions
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Coos County, New Hampshire, effective until 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. The warning follows reports of thunderstorms that have produced between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain in the area, with more expected. The storms, described as slow-moving and 'training' over the same locations, have raised concerns about heavy rainfall and potential flooding. In addition to the flash flood warning, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Strafford and Carroll counties, which expired at 5:30 p.m. The weather service has also noted the possibility of wind gusts exceeding 45 miles per hour and small hail, although the threat of hail is expected to diminish as temperatures drop.
