Father of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau Struggles with Forgiveness After Sons' Deaths
Guy Gaudreau, the father of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, continues to grapple with forgiveness nearly two years after his sons were killed in a cycling accident in New Jersey. The driver, Sean Higgins, is charged with aggravated manslaughter and reckless vehicular homicide. Prosecutors allege Higgins was driving under the influence and struck the brothers from behind. Despite multiple defense attempts to dismiss the charges, Higgins remains jailed awaiting trial. The Gaudreau family has channeled their grief into community projects, including raising funds for an adaptive playground in honor of their sons.
