Floodwaters Recede, I-70 Reopens in Licking County
After several days of heavy rainfall and dangerous flooding, Interstate 70 in Licking County, Ohio, is gradually reopening as floodwaters begin to recede. The area experienced near-record flooding, which caused significant disruptions to transportation and local businesses. Cleanup efforts are underway in nearby communities, including Gahanna, where city crews and businesses are working to recover from the widespread flooding. The recent weather pattern also brought isolated strong storms to Columbus, followed by cooler and drier conditions.
