One Dead, Two Injured in Raytown QuikTrip Parking Lot Shootout
A Sunday afternoon shootout in the parking lot of a QuikTrip on East 63rd Street in Raytown, Missouri, resulted in one fatality and two injuries. Police responded to the scene just before 5 p.m. and found one adult male receiving first aid from Raytown police officers, who was then transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. A second adult male was found with gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. A third adult male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was found inside the QuikTrip. Preliminary investigations suggest that multiple individuals, who appeared to know each other, arrived at the location in separate vehicles. An altercation ensued, escalating to gunfire. All vehicles involved in the incident left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
