Father Arrested After Fatal Shooting of Daughter in East Cleveland
A father has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of his 22-year-old daughter in East Cleveland, Ohio. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, with deputies responding to a report of a woman shot in the 1200 block of 134th Street. Preliminary information indicates that the suspect, the father, contacted the East Cleveland Police Department to report that he had shot his daughter. Upon arrival, law enforcement found the 22-year-old woman in a bedroom with a gunshot wound, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The father was not present at the home when officers arrived but was later located in a vehicle on the west side of Cleveland. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and arrested him without incident. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death, and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the final cause of death. No additional information has been released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
