U.S. Representative Maxwell Frost Endorses Samuel Vilchez Santiago in Florida HD 43 Race
U.S. Representative Maxwell Frost has endorsed Samuel Vilchez Santiago in his successful Democratic Primary bid for Florida House District 43. Vilchez Santiago secured a significant victory with 66% of the vote against former state Representative Daisy Morales. This primary race was marked by contention, including a lawsuit filed by Morales against Vilchez Santiago and the Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee, alleging libel over mailers depicting her as endorsing Republicans. Vilchez Santiago, who is on leave as Orange County Democratic Party Chair, garnered substantial support from the Democratic establishment, including endorsements from state Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith, state Representative Anna Eskamani, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, in addition to Representative Frost. He also received backing from various unions and the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association’s PAC.
