Sumar MÉS Demands Airport Co-Management for Support in Investiture
Vicenç Vidal, a deputy from Sumar MÉS, has declared that the co-management of airports is a critical condition for supporting the investiture bloc. Vidal emphasized the need for immediate progress on the Balearic agenda, following the election of a senator from Formentera. He insists that the new political climate should usher in an era of compliance and tangible progress for the Balearic Islands. Vidal has called for specific actions from Pedro Sánchez on strategic issues such as airport co-management, effective housing policies, fair financing, the full application of the Special Regime, and enhanced sustainable mobility. He argues that the Balearic Islands are currently contributing more than they receive, facing challenges like saturation, housing crises, and infrastructure deficits. Vidal stresses that the state legislature must address these island-specific challenges and prioritize the archipelago in strategic state decisions.
