Insurance Information Institute Launches Campaigns for Legal System Abuse Reform in California and Illinois
The Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) has initiated awareness campaigns in Los Angeles, California, and Cook County, Illinois, to address the economic impacts of legal system abuse. These campaigns feature billboards and digital advertisements in high-traffic areas, urging residents to support legal reforms. The initiative aims to highlight how legal system abuse increases insurance costs, affecting state economies. Triple-I's efforts include a microsite, StopLegalSystemAbuse.org, and targeted social media ads encouraging public engagement with lawmakers. The campaigns respond to the inclusion of these regions in the American Tort Reform Foundation's Judicial Hellholes list, which identifies areas with rampant legal system abuse.
