Victoria Sinis, a former manager for an OnlyFans agency in Australia, has publicly denounced the platform, describing it as a 'never-ending pit' that is 'destroying' individuals. Sinis, who managed creators during the pandemic, experienced a religious conversion during a church sermon, which led her to leave the adult industry. She now speaks to parents and children about what she perceives as the dangers of platforms like OnlyFans. Sinis argues that the concept of 'sexual liberation' promoted by such platforms is a lie that ultimately leads to insecurity, loneliness, depression, and anxiety for both women and men. She highlights how the industry targets men by exploiting their 'weakest essence' and glamorizes harmful lifestyles for young people, leading them to equate happiness and travel with participation in OnlyFans. An OnlyFans spokesperson stated that the platform empowers creators to control and monetize their content, having paid out over $30 billion to creators globally since 2016.
