The diplomatic push involves Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who have engaged in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and a Ukrainian delegation in Miami. Despite these efforts, key issues such as territorial concessions and security guarantees remain unresolved. The Kremlin has indicated some U.S. proposals are acceptable, but others are deemed 'unacceptable.' Meanwhile, Ukraine's ambassador to the U.S., Olga Stefanishyna, acknowledged that 'difficult issues remain.' Concurrently, Ukraine has faced one of the largest aerial attacks of the war, with significant damage to infrastructure and power outages across eight regions.
