Nobel Laureate Narges Mohammadi Begins Hunger Strike in Iranian Prison
Narges Mohammadi, a prominent Iranian activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has initiated a hunger strike in protest of her detention conditions in an Iranian prison. Mohammadi, known for her advocacy for women's rights and political freedoms, is protesting her isolation from family and legal counsel, as well as the denial of necessary medical care. Her family reports that she suffers from serious health issues and is being held in a location far from her legal team, which they claim is a tactic to exert control over her.
