Global Push for Spaceplanes and Satellite Protection Intensifies
Countries around the world are increasingly focusing on developing military spaceplanes and 'bodyguard satellites' to protect orbital assets. Germany's Federal Ministry of Defence has released a strategy for building agile surveillance satellites and reusable spaceplanes. China is advancing its reusable spacecraft, currently on its fourth sortie, while the U.S. Space Force's X-37B is on its eighth mission. France, Japan, and India are also making strides in space vehicle development, with France planning to demonstrate patrol-guard satellites and India working on its own spaceplane design. The Secure World Foundation reports a widespread push towards advanced space capabilities.
