Multiple Attacks Reported Across Thailand's Southern Border Provinces
A series of coordinated attacks, including arson, explosions, tire-burning, and an armed robbery, occurred across Thailand's three southern border provinces of Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat on Saturday night. The incidents began around 8:00 PM local time. In Yala, government vehicles were set ablaze at the Ban Rae Subdistrict Administrative Organization office, and a telecommunications tower was targeted. Tires were burned in multiple locations, and an advertising sign was set on fire. Authorities also discovered scattered nails near a petrol station and a suspicious object in Lam Mai subdistrict. Narathiwat experienced tire burnings and an explosion near a DTAC telecommunications tower. In Pattani, a 7-Eleven convenience store was robbed, and tires were burned along Highway 42. Security forces have been deployed to inspect the affected areas, collect evidence, and assess the damage. No official casualty figures have been released.
