Vietnam and Thailand Enhance Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Vietnam and Thailand have elevated their bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, marking a new phase of cooperation with a long-term vision. This development follows half a century of diplomatic relations and aims to strengthen ties across various sectors, including politics, economics, trade, and defense. The two countries have signed an Action Program for 2026-2031 to promote cooperation in these areas. Economic collaboration remains a highlight, with bilateral trade reaching approximately $22.1 billion in 2025. Thailand is a major trading partner and investor in Vietnam, with significant projects in various industries.
