Trump highlighted the issue in a recent post on Truth Social, referencing the challenges faced by individuals like Houston resident Raysall Wiggins, who struggled to purchase a home due to competition from investors. The bill has faced opposition from builders and housing industry groups who argue that institutional investors contribute to housing inventory and that the proposed requirement for build-to-rent developers to sell homes within seven years could hinder market growth.
