US Army Seeks Manufacturers for Out-of-Production Bradley IFV Parts for Ukraine
The U.S. Army Contracting Command—Detroit Arsenal has issued a market survey to identify companies capable of supplying components for M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) destined for Ukraine. Many of these parts are no longer in production by original manufacturers. The survey seeks firms with immediate access to these components or a credible plan to restart their manufacturing. The discontinued parts include critical subsystems such as turret drive control units, transmission control modules, heater mounts, ammunition chutes, specialized lens assemblies, and various structural, electrical, and mechanical components unique to the M2A2 ODS-SA. This shortage creates a two-fold problem: it stalls the refurbishment of Bradleys before they can be shipped to Ukraine and impedes the maintenance of vehicles already in combat.
