Teinnovations Donates $360,000 in PPE to Aurora for Winter Shelter and Emergency Use
Teinnovations, a food packaging company, has donated $360,000 worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the city of Aurora. This donation includes medical masks and gloves, which will be utilized by the city's winter warming shelter and emergency response teams. Some of the equipment will also be distributed to local nonprofits, such as Hesed House, a homeless shelter in Aurora. The donation was announced during a ceremony at Teinnovations' headquarters, where Aurora Mayor John Laesch expressed gratitude, noting the critical timing as flu season approaches. The city's temporary overnight warming center, which opens during extreme cold conditions, will benefit from this donation. Teinnovations, although not a PPE manufacturer, had acquired the stock during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist hospitals facing shortages. The company, founded in 2001, specializes in food science and packaging, and has been based in Aurora for the past two and a half years.
