Marco Rubio's Role in U.S. Management of Venezuela Raises Concerns
Marco Rubio, a prominent figure in President Trump's administration, has been involved in overseeing operations in Venezuela following a U.S. military intervention. The New York Times reports that Rubio, who has held multiple acting positions under Trump, is effectively managing Venezuela's day-to-day affairs. This includes controlling the disbursement of revenue from Venezuela's exports, which is managed by the U.S. Treasury. President Trump has publicly claimed control over Venezuela's oil resources, asserting that the U.S. is entitled to them. The administration has reportedly taken in approximately $13 billion from Venezuelan oil, though the allocation of these funds remains unclear.
