Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigates Fatal Crash After Truck Strikes Wooster Home, Killing 11-Year-Old
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal incident in Wooster, Ohio, where a pickup truck collided with a residential home, resulting in the death of an 11-year-old boy. The crash occurred on Friday night when an 18-year-old driver, Karas Wedge of Seville, operating a 2007 Ford F-250, veered off Madison Avenue and struck a home. Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 11:50 p.m. following reports of a serious injury crash with entrapment. The victim, identified as 11-year-old Emmet Sauers of Wooster, was inside the residence at the time of the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Karas Wedge, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Wooster Community Hospital. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has stated that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
