South Korea and Argentina Sign Agreement to Boost Cooperation on Critical Minerals
South Korea and Argentina have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation on critical minerals, including joint projects across the lithium value chain. This agreement was reached during a summit between South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Argentine President Javier Milei in Buenos Aires. The MOU aims to strengthen bilateral collaboration in strategic mineral supply chains, with a focus on lithium exploration and mining. The agreement also includes plans for South Korea to begin importing Argentine crude oil next year, diversifying its energy sources away from the Middle East.
