Air China Expands Melbourne and Sydney Routes, Launches New European Connection
Air China is set to increase its flight capacity between Melbourne and Beijing, as well as Sydney and Beijing, in response to rising demand. The airline will introduce additional nonstop services on the Melbourne-Beijing route in December, utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Similarly, the Sydney-Beijing route will see expanded capacity during the Lunar New Year period, with extra flights scheduled in two phases from December 2026 to February 2027. Additionally, Air China is launching a new route connecting Beijing with Budapest, Hungary, and Zagreb, Croatia, operating three times weekly. This expansion aims to provide more connection options for travelers between Australia, China, and Europe.
