Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly stated his advocacy for the killing of "30 to 40" people in Gaza every night. This controversial remark was made during his appearance on the podcast 'The 8 October,' hosted by Rom Braslavski, a survivor and former hostage of the October 7, 2023 Nova Music Festival attack. Ben-Gvir criticized the recent reduction in Israeli strikes on Gaza and expressed disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's approach. He articulated a view that targeted assassinations should be carried out, extending beyond those who pose an immediate threat, stating that some individuals in Gaza are "not worthy of life." This statement comes amidst heightened tensions and ongoing conflict in the region, following the 2023 Hamas attack that resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages.
