Brazilian Fitness Influencer Alana Alves da Silva Dies in Police Chase-Related Car Crash
Alana Alves da Silva, a 28-year-old Brazilian content creator known for her Instagram account @Vampira085 and her Latina Fitness brand, died in a car accident on August 8 in Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The incident, which also claimed six other lives, occurred during a police chase. According to G1 Globo and information from the Brazilian Federal Highway Police, Silva was a passenger in a vehicle transporting over 130 kilograms of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle had refused to stop for police, leading to a pursuit. Approximately 10 kilometers into the chase on highway BR-251, the driver attempted to overtake four vehicles in the opposing lane, resulting in a head-on collision with another car. The driver, Pedro Yan Linhares Gutierrez (24), and another passenger, Ramon Silverio Nogueira (19), also died at the scene.
