Oxfam International Seeks Gender Officer in Syria to Advance Equality Initiatives
Oxfam International is actively recruiting a Gender Officer for its Syria operations, specifically in Deir Alzour – Eastern Hub. This role is central to integrating gender equality and women's rights across various program interventions, including Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and Food, Education, and Shelter (FES) initiatives. The Gender Officer will work closely with program teams, implementing partners, and the Gender Team Leader/Advisor to ensure gender-responsive planning, implementation, and monitoring. Key responsibilities include supporting the design and execution of interventions that address harmful gender norms, promoting gender-transformative programming, and facilitating discussions and awareness activities among staff, partners, and communities to strengthen understanding of gender issues.
