Southern California to See Cooler Temperatures and Lower Humidity
Southern California is set to experience a break from the recent stretch of heat and humidity, with temperatures forecasted to drop slightly below average starting Monday, 31 August 2026. According to Bryan Lewis, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service's Oxnard office, this trend is expected to continue throughout the week. Coastal areas may still experience some lingering humidity due to warm water temperatures, but overall moisture levels will be significantly lower compared to the previous week. The recent spike in humidity was attributed to the remnants of Tropical Storm Iselle. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain over the upcoming Labour Day weekend, linked to a developing tropical system off the coast of Mexico.
