AMIA Bombing Victims Honored as Argentina Marks 32 Years Without Justice
In Buenos Aires, Argentina, a commemoration was held to mark 32 years since the AMIA bombing, a devastating antisemitic terrorist attack that killed 85 people and injured over 300. The event took place at the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) and was attended by members of Argentina's Jewish community, as well as international dignitaries. The ceremony included speeches from Osvaldo Armoza, president of AMIA, and relatives of the victims, who emphasized the ongoing struggle for justice and the need for modern anti-terrorism laws. Despite a 2024 court ruling holding Iran responsible for the attack, justice remains elusive.
