Costco Recalls Traditional Madeleines Due to Undeclared Tree Nuts Risking Allergic Reactions
Costco has announced a recall of its Traditional Madeleines after discovering that some packages were incorrectly filled with Madeleines containing Chocolate Hazelnut filling. This mislabeling poses a significant risk to individuals with nut allergies, as the packages did not declare the presence of tree nuts, specifically hazelnuts. The recall affects products sold between March 30 and April 6 at various Costco locations across the United States, including stores in Montana, Washington, Illinois, Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Virginia. Customers who purchased these products are advised not to consume them and to return them to Costco for a full refund. The recall notice emphasizes the potential for life-threatening allergic reactions in individuals with hazelnut allergies.
