IDF Soldier Killed in Southern Lebanon Amid Ongoing Conflict with Hezbollah
Sgt. Nehoray Leizer, a 19-year-old combat soldier from Eilat, was killed in southern Lebanon during a military operation. He served in the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade. The incident, which also left another soldier severely injured, is attributed to an explosive drone attack by Hezbollah. This marks a continuation of hostilities in the region, with Hezbollah frequently using drones against Israeli forces. Leizer's death follows the recent killing of Staff Sgt. Noam Hamburger in a similar drone strike. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been facing increasing threats from Hezbollah's drone capabilities, which have been publicly praised by Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qassem.
